About these terms#

These terms are between you and Farhan, an individual based in Jakarta, Indonesia (“we”, “us”), who makes Hushtop, a Mac app, and runs hushtop.app. They cover the app, your license and this website. By downloading, installing or using Hushtop you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t install or use it.

Who sells Hushtop#

Purchases are processed by Paddle.com, our reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle handles payment, tax, invoices and refunds, and its buyer terms also apply to your purchase.

Prices include tax. You pay exactly the price shown.

The free trial#

You can use Hushtop free for 7 days on each Mac. The trial starts the first time the app runs, and nothing is limited while it lasts. You don’t need an account, an email address or a card. Settings › License shows the days left. Reinstalling Hushtop doesn’t restart the trial.

Hushtop Lite#

When the trial ends without a license, Hushtop keeps working for free as Hushtop Lite. Lite includes:

• the closed notch
• music in the ears
• Media
• Home, with the Now playing card
• the volume HUD and audio output

Everything else pauses until you buy a license, including the other tools, the pet, integrations, Liquid Glass, Quit protection and Cleaning mode. Lite doesn’t receive updates.

Your license#

When you buy Hushtop, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use it on one Mac at a time, under these terms. You buy it once. There’s no subscription. Hushtop stays ours: you get the right to use it, not the software itself.

• One license covers one Mac. To use Hushtop on more Macs, buy a license for each.
• To move your license to a new Mac, open Settings › License on the old Mac and choose Deactivate this Mac, then enter your key on the new one. You can deactivate up to 5 times in 30 days. If you no longer have the old Mac, email [email protected] from the address you bought with, and we’ll free it.
• Lost your key? Restore your purchase and we’ll email it again.
• Hushtop works offline after activation. When it’s online, it checks your license with our server each time it starts and once a day.
• The license is for you. You may not share, sell, rent or publish your license key, or try to get around the licensing.

Updates#

Your license includes every Hushtop update, for life. There are no upgrade fees. Updates come from our own server, signed so Hushtop can check they’re really from us. Copies on a trial get updates too. Hushtop Lite doesn’t.

What we ask of you#

Don’t reverse engineer, modify or redistribute Hushtop, except where the law allows it regardless of these terms. Don’t use Hushtop or this website to break the law or to harm others.

Refunds#

You can get a refund within 14 days of your purchase, through Paddle. See the refund policy for how to ask. If a payment is refunded or charged back, the license stops working, usually within a day, and Hushtop goes back to Hushtop Lite.

Privacy#

The privacy policy says exactly what leaves your Mac and why.

Installing outside the App Store#

Hushtop is sold directly from hushtop.app, not through the App Store. It’s signed with our Developer ID and notarized by Apple, and every update is signed so Hushtop can check it really comes from us. The install guide shows how to install it. Download Hushtop only from hushtop.app.

Open-source software#

Hushtop includes open-source software under its own licenses. The acknowledgements list it.

No warranty#

Hushtop is provided “as is”. We work to keep it reliable, but we don’t promise it will be free of errors or work with every Mac, macOS version or other app.

Limitation of liability#

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim about Hushtop is limited to the amount you paid for it.

Ending these terms#

You can stop using Hushtop at any time. If you break these terms, we may deactivate your license.

Changes to these terms#

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and we’ll note material changes on the website.

Governing law#

These terms are governed by the laws of Indonesia, and disputes go to the courts of Jakarta. This doesn’t take away any protection the consumer law where you live gives you.
